Ministry Of Defence Starts UK UFO Archive Release (14th May 2008)

The National Archives (TNA) had a release scheduled for the 14th May, apparently there was an embargoed press announcement which was circulated from Monday. There was also an earlier pre-emptive warning circulated to the national press last week which was also embargoed.

The National Archives virtual press event - UFOs

The National ArchivesFor first time, The National Archives is making 8 Ministry of Defence (MoD) files relating to (Unidentified Flying Objects) UFOs available on Monday 12 May 2008.

The files will be available to download at no charge for the first month, online at the TNA website.

These are the first files to be released by the MoD as part of a 4-year transfer project relating to UFOs. The files are under embargo until the 00.01am 14 May 2008.

Visitors to the site will, in addition to downloading the files, be able to listen to a Podcast from Dr David Clarke, senior lecturer, Hallam University , discussing the files and the release. He has also written a background briefing on UFO files held at The National Archives.

There is also a short videocast from Nick Pope, a British UFO specialist presents a short videocast providing additional explanations. The files cover 1978 to 1987 and contain details on recorded incidents from the Ministry of Defence during this time.

Some of the highlights include:

DEFE 24/1925 - this file contains a long letter and drawings from a member of the public describing his 'physical and psychic contact' with green aliens since he was a child. One of them called Algar was killed in 1984 by another race of beings. The writer says that he visited their bases in the Wirral and Cheshire , whilst his wife reported seeing a UFO shot down over Wallasey Town.

DEFE 31/172 - On 21 February 1982, a group of customers and staff in Tunbridge Wells report an unknown object with green and red flashing lights - seen heading in the direction of Gatwick. (p.22)

DEFE 31/172 - A detailed briefing prepared by the Ministry of Defence for Lord Strabolgi, Government Chief Whip, for debate on UFO's in the House of Lords in January 1979. Paddy Stevens who briefed the Government spokesperson, said, "there is nothing to indicate that UFOlogy is anything but claptrap..." (Page 126-135)

Plus many more.

Indeed, far from this being a surprise it has been a long promised and much anticipated event, regular (and attentive!!) readers may remember that I posted about the MOD release back on the 24th December (2007), writing:

(UK) UFO Researchers Secure Release Of MoD UFO Documentation. “Following sustained pressure by a small number of UFO researchers during the last 8 years, the British Ministry of Defence have decided to release all of their UFO files. (For the full details of the planned release, visit: UK-UFO.org).

Visit: UK-UFO.org

Gary Anthony, Dave Clarke, and Joe McGonagle have been making full use of the Freedom of Information Act and its precursor, the Code of Practice on access to Government information. At considerable personal expense, effort, and investment of time the three of us have submitted a steady stream of requests. As well as making requests ourselves, we actively encouraged and assisted other ufologists to make their own requests.”

Click here to read the full post.

So when you read further articles or postings regarding this imminent disclosure, or when the release of these documents is finally realised, I urge you not to forget the efforts of Dave Clarke et al. Whose efforts are directly responsible for this landmark event, the results of their collective efforts should stand as irrefutable testimony to the enormity of what can be achieved with perseverance, dedication and determination.

In fact, why not visit their website at UK-UFO.org and thank them right now?

But I certainly wouldn't get too excited about the release and I feel it important to stress that there will be NO SMOKING GUN found, or even implications of such but that's not why this is such an interesting release. I personally believe it's such an interesting release so that the general public may finally have some inkling into the inner-workings of the MOD as it relates to UFO reports and I also believe the ineptitude and 'couldn't care less' attitude will prove to be more shocking than yet another ‘aliens stole my dog' report (which the media take a little too much delight in reporting on).

That's not to say there aren't any interesting cases included of course.....

Like the account from air traffic controllers, each with over eight years in the job, they reported that at 4 p.m. on April 19, 1984 a UFO landed at the airport they were working at then took off at an incredible speed.

The men, each with more than eight years on the job, described how they were helping guide a small plane to a landing on runway 22 when they were distracted by a brightly lit object approaching a different runway without clearance.

“Everyone became aware that the object was unidentified…..SATCO (code name for a controller with 14 years experience) reports that the object came in at speed, made a touch and go on runway 27, then departed at terrific speed in a near vertical climb.”

But of course this is merely one of the hundreds of *credible* reports that poses no kind of threat or no *defence significance* or so we're told. Still I don't doubt for a second that the conspiracy theorists will have a field day with what they think has been retained…..

Elizabeth Kucinich Intervew: UFO's and Alien Life (exopolitik.org)

Elizabeth Kucinich: “I am concerned that ET disclosure might be used to weaponize space, to create more fear and government control "

Robert Fleischer attended the International Iraq Conference in Berlin last weekend and had the chance to interview Dennis Kucinich' wife Elizabeth. This is what she revealed concerning her husband's UFO experience and her opinion on official ET disclosure. Note that she is concerned that ET disclosure might be, “Used as a means to weaponize space, to create more fear and government control ”.

Transcript of video interview Elisabeth Kucinich on her husband's UFO experience and ET disclosure, interviewed by Robert Fleischer/German Exopolitics Initiative in Berlin (March 9, 2008) at the International Iraq Conference.

(RF = Robert Fleischer, EK = Elizabeth Kucinich)

RF : I was really impressed by the fact that your husband went public saying he actually saw a UFO and it touched him in his heart. That is something that people who had contact, who had similar experiences, can really understand. What did it feel like for him? Did he ever talk to you about this?

EK : No, we haven't had this discussion. Actually, Dennis didn't reveal that story that something happened 25 years ago with some friends that he was with, and one of the friends actually wrote in her book about the experience. So Dennis tried not to talk about it publicly because it was something that he just decided to stay away from. "UFO" is unidentified flying object, so it could be an alien craft or it could be something else.

RF : I understand that for political reasons, we have to speak hypothetically of this. You know, I agree with you, but as far as I'm informed, Daniel Sheehan was the legal advisor for the Disclosure Project, military people who want hearings in front of Congress...

EK : Well, you know, I think Ronald Reagan and President Carter both said that they saw UFOs. I think it is a very arrogant position for the human race to think that in the multitude of planets and stars that are out there we should be the only place in the universe where there is life.

RF : Do you think that the two of us, we will ever experience the moment when the governments officially disclose the truth?

EK : I don't know. My understanding of that is that I don't need the world to believe or disbelieve in aliens. It's just not anything that I worry about or anything. I would suggest though that if governments did start to understand or want to make public that there may be extraterrestrial life or if they have the evidence, to show the evidence, I have a cynical mind that it might be used actually as a means to weaponize space, to create more fear, to create more control through government control as opposed to liberating the human experience in understanding that there is life elsewhere. Do you see, I think that it would be used negatively? So I keep that out of my consciousness and it doesn't matter to me either way.

MoD Confirms Release of UFO Reports (Dec 2007)

(UK) UFO Researchers Secure Release Of MoD UFO Documentation. Very recently (21st Dec 2007) Joe McGonagle of UK-UFO.org announced that:

Anybody who is interested in UFOlogy, especially as it relates to the UK and to the “Official” stance of the government owe these researchers at the very least a word of thanks as even anyone who's unaware of the previous achievements of this small but dedicated group will undoubtedly be aware of the many documents that they have been instrumental in obtaining the release of. As far back as 2001, Dave Clarke and Andy Roberts discovered the existence and much more importantly secured the release of documents relating directly to the sensationally named, “Flying Saucer Working Party”. Some of these documents were retained for a further six years before Dave Clarke finally secured release of the sections which were earlier withheld under Section 3(4) of the Public Records Act. (8th February 2007).

And there's also, “Project Condign” Britain 's Secret UFO Study which was the first ever document obtained under the FoIA with a, “SECRET” classification. The researchers meticulous gathering and analysis of documents first identified the existence of the, “Condign report” in 2005 and then promptly secured its release in 2006. A release of information which Dave Clarke doggedly pursued and upon appeal forced the further release of details which were previously claimed too sensitive. Rather than highlight all of their remarkable achievements, I suggest that you visit (and bookmark!!) their main/updates page which has full details and all relevant links to these and many other FOIA requests. (UK-UFO.org updates page).

This recent revelation is the culmination of many years work some of which dates back to 2003 while actively pursuing the release of information via FoIA requests they discovered that DI55 (the Defence Intelligence Branch charged with the investigation of UFO reports) were considering physically destroying millions of pages of files due to asbestos contamination, some of which were specifically created by DI55 in relation to UFO reports. These were just a small percentage of the files which were earmarked for destruction, however all of the files combined covered a diverse and eclectic array of topics which they argued were representative of a key period of military and political history and as such it would be a travesty to simply destroy and ultimately erase these records in their entirety.

Rather than simply sit back and await a decision regarding the demise of these files, they instead launched a campaign enlisting support from MP's, academics, the media, the UFO community and raised awareness among the general public. After rethinking their position the MoD subsequently initiated a costly (estimated at around 3 million pounds!!) project of digitally scanning, archiving and collating the files prior to their destruction. The researchers ensured the progress of this project was closely monitored and periodic updates were requested and granted from the Departmental Records Officer at the MoD, thus ensuring that the details of the project were firmly kept in the public domain.

The scanning stage of the contaminated UFO files was completed early 2007 and as the UK-UFO.org website states:

“This prompted a dialogue within the MoD as to the future release of files. Due to the volume of requests about UFOs received by Defence Intelligence, they discussed the viability of a staged, wholesale release, and concluded in April 2007 that this was the preferred way forward. This encouraged the Directorate of Air Space (DAS, the MoD agency charged with filtering reports before passing those thought to be of defence interest to other MoD branches including DI55) to make a similar evaluation and they have now also reached a decision for a staged release of all of their UFO records.”

The following is from a document obtained under a FoIA request and that was originally dated March 2007. An internal letter which discusses the full release of the documents and leaves no doubt as to the significance of the role the researchers (especially Dave Clarke) played, which was instrumental in this unprecedented release of all MoD UFO documents:

“I agree absolutely that we cannot sustain the current level of FOI requests. I have spoken to (name removed) - the AD in my area that is the only one left in DIST who knows anything. He feels strongly that the campaign is being led by one man and the cumulative resource implications of what he has been asking for is considerable. We expect this to continue.”

The story has since filtered through the tabloids, I was a little disappointed to see that the UK 's Daily Telegraph (online version) chose to extensively quote Nick Pope with absolutely no mention of Dave Clarke and the other researchers at UK-UFO.org. I have no doubt that this omission will subsequently be perpetuated throughout the internet on News websites, Blogs, forums etc.

General Wilfried de Brouwer - Belgium Black Triangle UFO Flap

There have been a few documented reports of previous, “Black Triangle UFO” sightings, possibly the most famous spate being the Belgium UFO Flap of the early 90's. Well, it actually started in November 1989, and in December 1989, the Royal Belgian Air Force (RBAF) was contacted by hundreds of panicked citizens reporting a triangular craft with a light at each corner.

This resulted in collaboration between the Belgian Air Force, the Belgian Police Force and local UFO research groups, and the RBAF agreeing to try and intercept any subsequent triangular craft that invaded Belgian air space.

Original Image (15th June 1990, Wallonia, Belgium)

Enhanced (animated) image. (15th June 1990, Wallonia, Belgium)

It is known that on at least two occasions the RBAF scrambled two F-16's to attempt the, “Intercept.” But the 2,000 km/h craft were evidently too slow as upon their arrival the triangular craft were no-where to be seen.

This caused the Belgian Air Ministry to assemble an entire squadron of F-16's ready to be scrambled once a UFO sighting had been confirmed by RADAR. On the 30th March 1990 at around 11pm a witness called in a sighting, reporting a triangular UFO with lights on its corners. This was confirmed by the Belgian Police and by ground-based RADAR bases. One of these bases was NATO controlled near the city of Glons , southeast of Brussels . After contacting other radar facilities, they learned that at least four other stations were also reporting the object on their screens. The object was moving across their screens slowly, and failed to send a transponder signal to identify itself.

Immediately the RBAF scrambled two F-16s and from a distance of 12km they managed to get a "lock on" to the UFO only for the UFO to, "Shrug it off.” Over the next few minutes that the encounter continued, they locked on anoher six or so times, one of these times the UFO was reportedly locked on by no less than three F-16's!!

The pilots were considered to be among NATO's best and NO KNOWN aircraft is capable of avoiding an F-16 missile lock of more than two <F-16's> never mind three missile locks.

The experienced fighter pilots were stunned by acceleration of the UFO, which included 280 km/h to 1800 km/h in less than a second while descending from an altitude of 3 km to 1.7 km, and then coming to a dead stop. These unbelievable manoeuvres were confirmed as RADAR showed the craft drop from 10,000 to 500 feet in no less than 5 seconds!!

The triangular UFO finally dropped to just 200 metres above the suburbs of Brussels before disappearing from the RADAR screen completely.

Here's some rare video clips of the Black Triangle UFO's caught in flight.

General Wilfried de Brouwer
General Wilfried de Brouwer, Belgium UFO Flap
22 June 1990 at press conference regarding the Belgian UFO flap

Wilfried De Brouwer is a retired Major General of the Belgian Air Force and was Chief Operations in the Air Staff when the Belgian UFO Wave hit. He was recently part of the National Press Conference where pilots of different nationalities all gave testimonies of their personal experiences with UFO's (while piloting aircraft.)

To watch video clips, news reports, or just for more information on this event, visit, “International Pilot Testimonies” & “Larry King – Are UFO's For Real” & "Watch NPC Pilot UFO Conference Video" & “Is Full UFO Disclosure Beckoning?

Here is the testimony of Wilfried De Brouwer that he gave at the recent National Press Conference:

Wilfried De Brouwer

My name is Wilfried De Brouwer. I am a retired Major General of the Belgian Air Force and I was Chief Operations in the Air Staff when an exceptional UFO wave took place over Belgium . Indeed, during the evening of 29 November 1989, in a small area in Eastern Belgium , approximately 140 UFO sightings were reported. Hundreds of people saw a majestic triangular craft with a span of approximately 120 feet, powerful beaming spot lights, moving very slowly without making any significant noise but, in several cases, accelerating to very high speeds.

The following days and months, many more sightings would follow. The UFO wave would last more than one year during which a Belgian UFO organization conducted more than 650 investigations and recorded more than 400 hours of audio witness reports. On one occasion, a photograph revealed the triangular shape and four light beams of the object.

Belgium had no official focal point for reporting UFO observations. Nevertheless, in my function of Chief Operations, I was confronted with numerous questions about the origin and nature of these craft. In the first instance, and in consultation with other NATO partners, I could confirm that no flights of stealth aircraft or any other experimental aircraft took place in the airspace of Belgium . In addition, the Civil Aviation Authorities confirmed that no flight plans had been introduced. This implied that the reported object(s) committed an infraction against the existing aviation rules.

The Belgian Air Force tried to identify the alleged intruder(s) and, on three occasions, launched F-16 aircraft.

On one occasion, two F-16 registered rapid changes in speed and altitude which were well outside of the performance envelope of existing aircraft. Nevertheless, the pilots could not establish visual contact and the investigation revealed that specific weather conditions may have caused electromagnetic interferences and false returns on the radar screens. The technical evidence was insufficient to conclude that abnormal air activities took place during that evening.

In short, the Belgian UFO wave was exceptional and the Air Force could not identify the nature, origin and intentions of the reported phenomena.

And here's a summarised report of the Belgian 1990 UFO flap, signed by Wilfried De Brouwer.

Summary of the official report by the Belgian Air Force

(Regarding the UFO events of March, 1990)

1. Starting early Dec 89 the BAF has been contacted on several occasions by eyewitnesses who observed strange phenomena in the Belgian airspace. On some occasions they described the phenomena as a triangle-shaped platform up to 200 feet wide with 3 downward beaming projectors, hovering at +- 100 m above the ground and making only a very light humming noise. Some witnesses saw the object departing at very high speed after a very fast acceleration. All observations were made in the evening or during the night.

2. The radar stations which had been alerted by eyewitnesses could not definitely determine a correlation between the visual observations and their detection on radar. On two occasions the BAF scrambled 2 F16 during the evening hours.

a. On the first occasion the F16 arrived +- 1 hour after the visual detection. Nothing was observed.

b. On the second occasion, pilots could identify a laser-beam projector on the ground. After investigation it appeared however that the description of the observations totally differed from previously described phenomena.

3. Consequently the Belgian Airforce, anxious to identify the origin of the phenomena, authorised F16 scrambles if following conditions were met:

a. Visual observations on the ground confirmed by the local police.

b. Detection on radar.

Events:

4. On 30 Mar 1990 at 23.00 Hr the Master Controller (MC) of the Air Defense radar station of Glons received a phone call from a person who declared to observe three independent blinking lights in the sky, changing colours, with a much higher intensity than the lights of the stars and forming a triangle. Meteo conditions were clear sky, no clouds, light wind and a minor temperature inversion at 3000 Ft.

5. The MC in turn notified the police of WAVRE which confirmed the sighting at +- 23 30 Hr. Meanwhile the MC had identified a radar contact at about 8 NM North of the ground observation. The contact moved slowely to the West at a speed of =- 25kts and an altitude of 10.000 Ft.

6. The ground observers reported 3 additional light spots which moved gradually, with irregular speeds, towards the first set of lights and forming a second triangle.

7. At 23.50 a second radar station, situated at +- 100 NM from the first, confirmed an identical contact at the same place of the radar contact of Glons.

8. At 00.05 2 F16 were scrambled from BEAUVECHAIN airbase and guided towards the radar contacts. A total of 9 interception attempts have been made. At 6 occasions the pilots could establish a lock-on with their air interception radar. Lock-on distances varied between 5 and 8 NM. On all occasions targets varied speed and altitude very quickly and break-locks occurred after 10 to 60 seconds. Speeds varied between 150 and 1010 kts. At 3 occasions both F16 registered simultaneous lock-ons with the same parameters. The 2 F16 were flying +- 2 NM apart. No visual contact could be established by either of the F16 pilots.

9. The F16 flew 3 times through the observation field of the ground observers. At the third passage the ground observers notified a change in the behavior of the light spots. The most luminous started to blink very intensively while the other disappeared. Consequently, the most luminous spot started to dim gradually.

10. Meanwhile the head of the police of WAVRE had alerted 4 other police stations in the area. All four, separated +- 10 NM from each other, confirmed the visual observations.

11. The aircraft landed at 01.10 Hrs. The last visual observation was recorded at +- 01.30 Hrs.

Conclusions:

12. The Belgian Air Force was unable to identify neither the nature nor the origin of the phenomena. However, it had sufficient elements to exclude following assumptions:

a. Balloons. Impossible due to the highly variable speeds (confirmed visually and by radar).

b. ULM . Same as for balloons.

c. RPV. Impossible due to the hovering characteristics.

d. Aircraft (including Stealth). Same as for RPV. No noise.

e. Laser projections or Mirages. Unlikely due to lack of projection surface (no clouds). Light spots have been observed from different locations. Light spots moved over distance of more than 15 NM. Form of inlighted part of spots has been observed with spectacles. Laser projections or mirages can not be detected by radar.

International Pilot Witness Testimonies to UFO's (CNN Coverage Of NPC Press Conference)

Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN
NPC Press Conference
International Pilot Witness Testimonies to UFO's
(Close Encounters – UFO Files)

Follow up to Larry King Live, Fife Symington interview as well as interviews with the speakers (pilot UFO witnesses) and footage from the conference with a short head to head between James Fox, director of award winning UFO documentary, “Out Of The Blue” and resident skeptic James McGaha (Astronomer) both of whom featured on the Larry King Live UFO special.

Personally I believe McGaha lacks any conviction in what he's saying, much as he did on the recent Larry King Live show, he displays nothing of the calibre previously witnessed when Michael Shermer appeared on an earlier Larry King show back in July of this year (2007). But I'm not complaining as from what I seen, McGaha's sweeping statements and criticisms which ultimately were levelled at the recollections and subsequent statements of the witnesses (rather than at the evidence) only added credibility to the entire UFO witnesses testimony.

“If you can't attack the evidence, attack the witness?”

James McGaha is an amateur astronomer and a consultant to the professional skepetic group CISCOP. McGaha was also consulted for the massive disappointment that was the Peter Jennings UFO special, McGaha states that:

"UFOlogy is a mythology that is based on superstition wrapped inside a fairy tale."

I’m not a fan of Michael Shermer but he definitely made me want to throw something at the screen, but when watching McGaha I feel a little sorry for him not least of all as he seems to lose track of what he’s saying mid-sentence.

However, any empathy I feel is quickly turned into disdain when I remember his performance on ABC’s, “Peter Jennings Reporting: UFOs -- Seeing Is Believing.” Have a look at this short clip as McGaha at least seems convinced of what he's saying, compare that to The Larry King Live Show and his performance is somewhat lacklustre.

McGaha - Skeptical of himself?

Apparently McGaha doesn't bother himself with things as trivial as evidence and very rarely (if ever) justifies his position on any of his dubious counter claims, generally relying on his favourite excuse of previously being an Air Force pilot which he generally uses as a direct rebuttal when pushed to elaborate further on his evidently unfounded and tainted speculations/explanations.

CNN - NPC Press Conference On Pilot UFO Reports
And this clip is a short CNN report On The Recent NPC UFO Press Conference, which again focuses on the international pilot witness testimonies to personal sightings of UFO's.

Clinton Library Offers Peek at UFO Files

Clinton Library Offers Peek at UFO Files

By ANDREW DeMILLO

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — In a move sure to provide fodder for conspiracy theorists, the Clinton Library withheld e-mails with subject lines like "X-Files" and "Area 51" from a batch of documents recently released at a UFO buff's request.

National Archives officials made several files — ranging from a White House staffer's obsession with the TV show "The X-Files" to President Clinton's push to hook up the Sci-Fi Channel at Camp David — available for viewing starting last Thursday in response to Freedom of Information requests.

Several pages, however, were withheld because they would "constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy," according to National Archives documents. Among the released pages, 27 come from the files of former White House Chief of Staff John Podesta, a fan of "The X-Files," a show about FBI agents investigating extraterrestrials and other supernatural events. The files include articles forwarded to Podesta about the canceled Fox show.

Peter Baker, a Washington Post reporter, relied on Podesta's interest in the show to persuade him to help on a book about the White House. "Why am I skeptical that this book constitutes an opportunity for us?" Podesta wrote in a March 24, 1999, e-mail to Baker, who eventually wrote a book about the former president's impeachment and trial.

"Because any good X-Files fan is skeptical by nature and understandably so," Baker replied the next day. In 1995, a group called the "Project Starlight Coalition" sent President Clinton a letter asking him to declassify any documents about extraterrestrials or UFOs. Two months later, an aide replied that he had forwarded the request for a meeting to White House staff. "The President appreciates your interest and long-standing involvement in this issue," James A. Dorskind, a special assistant to the president, wrote to members of the coalition.

The files also include an e-mail between White House spokeswomen Patricia F. Lewis and Mary Ellen Glynn over a Hollywood Reporter question about Clinton 's insistence on installing the Sci-Fi channel at the presidential retreat. "I know we're not going to talk about it, but it's one of the better questions I've heard in a while and I wanted to share," Lewis wrote.

The records are being released in response to a slew of requests from UFO enthusiast Grant Cameron, who operates a Web site on presidential history with extraterrestrials. Cameron has several other requests pending, including one for "all files on the Kennedy assassination." He did not immediately respond to an e-mail message seeking comment Tuesday.

Is Full UFO Disclosure Beckoning?

Is Full UFO Disclosure Beckoning?

The Reality as Seen by Former High Level Government and Military Officials

On Monday November 12 th at 11am, a panel discussion will take place moderated by former Arizona Governor Fife Symington at the National Press Club.

This discussion will include former high level government employees, military officials and pilots from all over the world. They'll discuss their own UFO sightings and encounters and they'll do it at the National Press Club in the nation's capital. Some of them will be sharing their stories for the first time.

This group has gathered together to call on the United States government to take an active role in investigating cases involving unidentified flying objects.

The general public is not alone when it comes to sighting what the US Air Force has labelled Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). So too have former governors, high level military and government officials, highly trained airplane pilots and aviation experts. The phenomenon is real. It happens worldwide. No one is sure about its nature.

Pilots to Tell Their UFO Stories for the First Time

Just one year ago, pilots, mechanics and managers from United Airlines witnessed a metallic disc-shaped object hovering over the United Airlines Terminal at Chicago 's O'Hare Airport. The clearly observed object shot straight up leaving a hole through the clouds. Despite the clear aviation safety issues involved, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) never investigated the incident and dismissed it as weather. This head-in-the-clouds refusal to investigate stands in sharp contrast to efforts by governments of other countries to understand these incidents.

(The NARCAP .PDF document detailing the full investigation into the O'Hare UFO report/sighting is available here.)

Group to call on US Government to Re-Open its Investigation

The group, using previously classified documents, will discuss many well-documented cases, including two investigated by the US government. The first involves a Peruvian Air Force pilot who fired many rounds at a UFO which was not affected. The second was an Iranian Air Force pilot's attempt to fire at a UFO, but whose control panel became inoperable.

“This case is a classic that meets all the necessary conditions for a legitimate study of the UFO phenomenon,” stated the US Defense Intelligence Agency document on the Tehran incident. Both pilots will come forward to speak about these events publicly for the first time.

List Of Speakers

  • Fife Symington, Former Arizona Governor, Moderator
  • Ray Bowyer, Captain, Aurigny Air Services, Channel Islands
  • Rodrigo Bravo, Captain and Pilot for the Aviation Army of Chile
  • General Wilfried De Brouwer, former Deputy Chief of Staff, Belgian Air Force (Ret.)

Fife Symington, the former governor of Arizona, who in 1997 ridiculed an infamous UFO sighting by thousands of people in the state and later admitted that he himself saw a craft will moderate a distinguished panel of former high-ranking government, aviation, and military officials from seven countries to discuss close encounters with what the US Air Force describes as Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs).

Fife says, “This panel consists of some of the most qualified people in the world with direct experience in dealing with this issue, and they will bring incredible, irrefutable evidence, some never presented before, that we simply cannot dismiss or ignore.”

Representatives from France, England, Belgium, Chile, Peru, Iran and the US will call for the US Government to join in an international dialogue and re-open its investigation which the Air Force shut down over 30 years ago in cooperation with other governments currently dealing with this unusual and controversial phenomenon.

While on active duty, the panellists have either witnessed a UFO incident or have conducted an official investigation into UFO cases relevant to aviation safety and national security.

High ranking government personnel and military officials from around the world have seen what you won't believe. And they risk their reputations to make the case.

Fife Symington

Who can forget when the governor of Arizona held a press conference regarding the phoenix lights and got one of his staff to dress up in an alien costume!!
Seemingly Symington has done a complete U-turn and now says,

“In 1997, during my second term as governor of Arizona, I saw something that defied logic and challenged my reality.

I witnessed a massive delta-shaped, craft silently navigate over Squaw Peak, a mountain range in Phoenix, Arizona. It was truly breathtaking. I was absolutely stunned because I was turning to the west looking for the distant Phoenix Lights. To my astonishment this apparition appeared; this dramatically large, very distinctive leading edge with some enormous lights was travelling through the Arizona sky.

As a pilot and a former Air Force Officer, I can definitively say that this craft did not resemble any man-made object I'd ever seen. And it was certainly not high-altitude flares because flares don't fly in formation. The incident was witnessed by hundreds -- if not thousands -- of people in Arizona, and my office was besieged with phone calls from very concerned Arizonians.

The growing hysteria intensified when the story broke nationally. I decided to lighten the mood of the state by calling a press conference where my chief of staff arrived in an alien costume. We managed to lessen the sense of panic but, at the same time, upset many of my constituents.

I would now like to set the record straight. I never meant to ridicule anyone. My office did make inquiries as to the origin of the craft, but to this day they remain unanswered.

Eventually the Air Force claimed responsibility stating that they dropped flares. This is indicative of the attitude from official channels. We get explanations that fly in the face of the facts. Explanations like weather balloons, swamp gas and military flares.”
