Bristol UFO Video (May 2009) Delta/Triangle

A video alleged to have been taken in Bristol recently of a Delta/Triangular shaped UFO, the video was picked up by the local and national media (Telegraph).

A quick look at the video instantly struck me as a computer generated object although I haven't studied the video to any extent but let me explain why, if you follow the YouTube link it takes you to a user called *ikkleh* who is also known as Andrew Hadlington, he has a link to his website posted and it leads to ‘DigitalOranges.com' a quick visit shows the following image and nothing else (I've highlighted what I believe to be relevant). Also a quick look at the source code lists the keywords, “game, viral, viral marketing” amongst others and the title text reads:

“Digital Oranges Interactive - Specialists in Flash game development for the Online, Viral Marketing, and the Leisure and Gambling Industry.”

Hadlington also states he is a computer programmer (Flash game development) and a senior artist for Rage software (source), the Youtube video is accompanied with the following description:

"This UFO (or whatever it is) buzzed us twice - managed to get it the second time around. Freakiest thing I have ever seen in my life. Source."

And here's the original video first, then brightened a little and then slowed down…..

UFO over Bristol - 10 May 2009

The Telegraph article stated:

Computer game writer Andy, 36, said:

"It was the freakiest thing I have ever seen in my life. I was sitting in my office and saw it out of the corner of my eye….We're not far from the airport so I thought it could even have been a low-flying plane, so I was quite alarmed…..It was quite exciting – it sort of hovered past the houses. There was no sound. I ran downstairs and out of the garden to see where it went but I couldn't see anything…..My fiancée was out at the time but I'm sure other people must have seen it. It was so clear."

Now while I appreciate that the media often misrepresent people in their stories the above excerpt seems like a direct quote and more importantly a quote which seemingly contradicts the description that accompanied the original video.

But apart from this, the fact that the witness is well placed within the gaming industry to construct such a video and because he also appears to promote himself as a ‘viral marketer' alarm bells instantly were instantly ringing, especially when considered along with the facts that this object was apparently circling (due to the fact it passed the witness more than once) and was allegedly sighted at 5:30pm over a residential area (Sunday teatime), well, surely more than one witness would have seen such a phenomenon?

All in my humble opinion of course…..

Anyway here's the original Telegraph article (there was a related article suggesting that the object was a piece of cardboard but to be honest that's more unbelievable than the fact that it was a ‘nuts & bolts' physical object, hence its omission):

Andy Hadlington saw the mysterious blob silently hovering around and filmed it from the window of his office. The mysterious grey object glided around the residential area of Knowle, Bristol, at 5.30pm on Sunday without making a sound. UFO experts have been trying to verify the sighting and are hoping to speak to more witnesses and views of the eerie episode.

Computer game writer Andy, 36, said:

There was no sound. I ran downstairs and out of the garden to see where it went but I couldn't see anything…..My fiancée was out at the time but I'm sure other people must have seen it. It was so clear…..

Denis Plunkett, of the British Flying Saucer Bureau, based in Winterbourne, near Bristol, was unable to comment on the video but said there were ways to verify its authenticity, saying:

"There are ways to sort out good from bad. Firstly they are silent, there will be no noise…They can also become invisible. They can go in and out of MoD radar. They can change speed, direction and height in seconds…..The best thing is if there are multiple witnesses to the sighting. If more people saw this I'd be very interested.”

“Classic” Diamond Shaped UFO Spotted, Tavistock (UK)

A nice change from the ‘lights in the sky' which seem to be standard fare lately, the witness describes a diamond shaped UFO with a point light source on the underside, which sounds remarkably like the triangular UFOs which plagued Belgium in 1989/90.

Belgium Trangle

The following was reported on the 30th April, 2009.

Tavistock UFO

A WALKER and her friend had a shock when they spotted a strange object flying over the moors last week. Tavistock resident Emma Cockayne witnessed the encounter while out walking with a friend on Whitchurch Down at around 7pm on Tuesday, April 21.

Miss Cockayne said:

“We were walking down to the right of the Pimple, towards the trees…..We were just chatting away when all of a sudden my friend looked up and pointed to this thing flying in the sky. It was black or grey and shaped like a diamond, with a red light or flame in the middle……It was flying lower than a plane, it looked like something you'd see on TV.”

There have been numerous sightings of unidentified objects around the Whitchurch and Pew Tor area this year. In February a family claimed to see a mysterious orange glowing object flying in the sky in February.

Miss Cockayne added:

“We just couldn't get our heads around what we were seeing, it was totally and utterly intriguing. I have never seen anything like it before.”

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence in the South West said:

“The MOD examines reports solely to establish whether UK airspace may have been compromised by hostile or unauthorised military activity…..Unless there is evidence of a potential threat, there is no attempt to identify the nature of each sighting reported.”

UK - The Sun Has Best UFO Proof Yet (Again)

A strange image was published by the Sun newspaper (via Gary Heseltine) which they stated was photographed at Dudley castle 'last April'.

To be honest I've purposefully refrained from posting any of the Sun newspapers UFO stories, mainly because they were caught out a couple of months ago and admitted intentionally lying to their readers, this was defended by claiming they were just, “Having a little fun” with their long suffering readership.

But prior to this wholly unsurprising revelation about their lack of ethical integrity their previous track-record in reporting UFO related stories was equally wanting. The stories were always misleading and they consistently contacted several UFO researchers and inevitably quoted the one researcher who agreed there was something anomalistic about the 'exclusive' photograph they'd been sent, usually insinuating (if not stating outright) that any/all objects captured were of obvious extraterrestrial origin.

UFO picture is 'best proof yet'

The Sun UK UFO ImageA “FLYING saucer” is photographed in daylight over a town — in a snap hailed as one of the most important ever pieces of evidence of alien life. The UFO shot across the sky in front of clouds above Dudley in the West Midlands . A startled visitor to Dudley Castle captured the amazing image, and sent it to a police detective who collects UFO sightings. Yesterday DC Gary Heseltine, 48, said:

“It's a very intriguing photograph that was taken purely by chance…..If it's genuine then it could be one of the most convincing pieces of evidence about aliens from the UK ever.”

The photo was taken by a 57-year-old nanny on a day out last April. DC Heseltine, of Wakefield , West Yorks, has now handed it over for study to a former US navy physicist who specialises in photo analysis. The British Transport Police officer will reveal the findings at the UFO Data Magazine annual conference in Pontefract, West Yorks , on October 25.

The Sun

Gary Heseltine is no stranger to the UFO subject and runs the, “PRUFOS (POLICE REPORTING UFO SIGHTINGS) DATABASE” website which collects and catalogues UFO reports from police officers while both on and off duty.

It's more than likely that the, “Former UFO Navy physicist ” is none other than the inimitable Dr. Bruce Maccabee, the following is a brief excerpt from his Bio page: "Studied physics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass (B.S. in physics) and then at The American University, Washington, DC (M.S. and Ph. D. in physics)…..1972 commenced his long career at the Naval Surface Warfare Center…..has worked on optical data processing, generation of underwater sound with lasers and various aspects of the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) using high power lasers…..active in UFO research since late 1960s when he joined the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP)….active in research and investigation for NICAP until its demise in 1980…..became a member of MUFON in 1975…..appointed to the position of state Director for Maryland, a position he still holds…..1979 he was instrumental in establishing the Fund for UFO Research…..chairman for about 13 years…..presently serves on the National Board of the Fund.."

In fact even if it isn't Bruce Maccabee then I still strongly urge you to check out his personal pages as his investigative analysis is consistently methodical in approach and execution and as such is testament to the rigorous protocols employed in his previous investigations. And as well of course as (usually!!) making for fascinating reading.

Of course there's so little information available and the image posted to the Sun website is compressed to such an extent that no manipulation could bring out any more detail than is already evident, but when Bruce Maccabee receives the original then he will certainly be able to (at least) ‘yay or nay' its validity, i.e. whether its actually a genuine image and also whether or not it's a physical object. But whether it's an object in the sky, a camera artefact or even a rogue cloud formation I found it to be one of the more aesthetically pleasing and interesting images that has been posted online for a while.....

Exclusive Australian UFO Triangle On Google Earth Explained (Again!!)

AXcess News – (Making Old News New!!)

Armando Duke of, “AXcess News” recently (Jan 2008) posted an article online claiming an, “Australian UFO Photo Exclusive!!”

Exclusive Australian UFO Triangle On Google Earth Explained

The Australian Google Earth UFO that they exclusively reveal has been doing the rounds on the internet for nearly a couple of years (that I know of). It seems that the story draws a somewhat tenuous link between the recent Stephenville, Texas UFO sightings and the Google Earth triangle, saying:

“An alert reader in Australia captured these photos of UFOs less than two weeks after the host of unidentified flying objects were seen over Texas - taken from Google Earth showing the UFOs in a triangle pattern.”

And that: “We're bringing you some exclusive photos of UFOs in Australia that were snapped off of Google Earth on Thursday.”

It seems that this is one of those stories that surface every couple of months, if you visit the co-ordinates on Google Earth you will see that the Google Earth community have the image flagged with several comments and have done for some time. While the image itself certainly appears a little strange the amount of time that it's been visible is obviously a direct indication of the fact that the object is in fact stationary which means that unless it's a crashed or landed UFO then it's not a UFO at all.

Exclusive Australian UFO Triangle On Google Earth

Here's a video of the triangle and another couple of Google Earth anomalies (which I believe to be used for aligning the composite images) that was uploaded over a year ago.

(Original Post)

As recently as 18 th December 2007, LMH of Earthfiles.com received an email relating to the triangle UFO on Google Earth, the sender actually lived in Australia and said he interpolated its position on to a map then set off to investigate:

“(Triangle is) in an area I was fairly familiar with. The astronomy group I am in goes near there for star gazing as there is no light pollution. I made a trip up to investigate the Google earth mystery on Saturday, December 15, 2007. I 'interpolated' its position onto a map and we drove up.

It is a large antenna and appears to be a component of the huge wind farm immediately adjacent to it. The wind farm supplies 80 megawatts of power for Perth and is remote-controlled from Perth Power Company that operates the wind farm. I think the very high antenna transmits sensor and instrumentation data as well as receiving the control signals from the Perth control centre. It is a very tall antenna with 3 sets of guy wires in a triangle formation.

The growth and bushes are most likely cleared out of the antenna area. (We couldn't get close enough to see the base because the roads were blocked with gates and it is rolling hills). The place is fenced and the gates are locked. There are no warning signs, no 'use of deadly force' signs, nor is there any 'keep out' signs.”

The locked gates are there to keep the vandals and curiosity seekers out.”

Unfortunately due to the unique subscription system in place at Earthfiles it seems that once News is archived it then only becomes viewable after taking out a paid subscription, luckily Google caches the pages so the email is still viewable by using this option (click here). (You have to scroll down for the entry for the 18th December).

And here you can see in this image, the sides of the triangle are approximately .6 miles in length.

Exclusive Australian UFO Triangle On Google Earth (Perth)

The co-ordinates are as follows:

Latitude: 30°30'38.22"S
Longitude: 115°22'55.49"E

Or enter, “30°30'38.22"S 115°22'55.49"E” into Google Earth and you'll be whisked straight to the triangle!!

General Wilfried de Brouwer - Belgium Black Triangle UFO Flap

There have been a few documented reports of previous, “Black Triangle UFO” sightings, possibly the most famous spate being the Belgium UFO Flap of the early 90's. Well, it actually started in November 1989, and in December 1989, the Royal Belgian Air Force (RBAF) was contacted by hundreds of panicked citizens reporting a triangular craft with a light at each corner.

This resulted in collaboration between the Belgian Air Force, the Belgian Police Force and local UFO research groups, and the RBAF agreeing to try and intercept any subsequent triangular craft that invaded Belgian air space.

Original Image (15th June 1990, Wallonia, Belgium)

Enhanced (animated) image. (15th June 1990, Wallonia, Belgium)

It is known that on at least two occasions the RBAF scrambled two F-16's to attempt the, “Intercept.” But the 2,000 km/h craft were evidently too slow as upon their arrival the triangular craft were no-where to be seen.

This caused the Belgian Air Ministry to assemble an entire squadron of F-16's ready to be scrambled once a UFO sighting had been confirmed by RADAR. On the 30th March 1990 at around 11pm a witness called in a sighting, reporting a triangular UFO with lights on its corners. This was confirmed by the Belgian Police and by ground-based RADAR bases. One of these bases was NATO controlled near the city of Glons , southeast of Brussels . After contacting other radar facilities, they learned that at least four other stations were also reporting the object on their screens. The object was moving across their screens slowly, and failed to send a transponder signal to identify itself.

Immediately the RBAF scrambled two F-16s and from a distance of 12km they managed to get a "lock on" to the UFO only for the UFO to, "Shrug it off.” Over the next few minutes that the encounter continued, they locked on anoher six or so times, one of these times the UFO was reportedly locked on by no less than three F-16's!!

The pilots were considered to be among NATO's best and NO KNOWN aircraft is capable of avoiding an F-16 missile lock of more than two <F-16's> never mind three missile locks.

The experienced fighter pilots were stunned by acceleration of the UFO, which included 280 km/h to 1800 km/h in less than a second while descending from an altitude of 3 km to 1.7 km, and then coming to a dead stop. These unbelievable manoeuvres were confirmed as RADAR showed the craft drop from 10,000 to 500 feet in no less than 5 seconds!!

The triangular UFO finally dropped to just 200 metres above the suburbs of Brussels before disappearing from the RADAR screen completely.

Here's some rare video clips of the Black Triangle UFO's caught in flight.

General Wilfried de Brouwer
General Wilfried de Brouwer, Belgium UFO Flap
22 June 1990 at press conference regarding the Belgian UFO flap

Wilfried De Brouwer is a retired Major General of the Belgian Air Force and was Chief Operations in the Air Staff when the Belgian UFO Wave hit. He was recently part of the National Press Conference where pilots of different nationalities all gave testimonies of their personal experiences with UFO's (while piloting aircraft.)

To watch video clips, news reports, or just for more information on this event, visit, “International Pilot Testimonies” & “Larry King – Are UFO's For Real” & "Watch NPC Pilot UFO Conference Video" & “Is Full UFO Disclosure Beckoning?

Here is the testimony of Wilfried De Brouwer that he gave at the recent National Press Conference:

Wilfried De Brouwer

My name is Wilfried De Brouwer. I am a retired Major General of the Belgian Air Force and I was Chief Operations in the Air Staff when an exceptional UFO wave took place over Belgium . Indeed, during the evening of 29 November 1989, in a small area in Eastern Belgium , approximately 140 UFO sightings were reported. Hundreds of people saw a majestic triangular craft with a span of approximately 120 feet, powerful beaming spot lights, moving very slowly without making any significant noise but, in several cases, accelerating to very high speeds.

The following days and months, many more sightings would follow. The UFO wave would last more than one year during which a Belgian UFO organization conducted more than 650 investigations and recorded more than 400 hours of audio witness reports. On one occasion, a photograph revealed the triangular shape and four light beams of the object.

Belgium had no official focal point for reporting UFO observations. Nevertheless, in my function of Chief Operations, I was confronted with numerous questions about the origin and nature of these craft. In the first instance, and in consultation with other NATO partners, I could confirm that no flights of stealth aircraft or any other experimental aircraft took place in the airspace of Belgium . In addition, the Civil Aviation Authorities confirmed that no flight plans had been introduced. This implied that the reported object(s) committed an infraction against the existing aviation rules.

The Belgian Air Force tried to identify the alleged intruder(s) and, on three occasions, launched F-16 aircraft.

On one occasion, two F-16 registered rapid changes in speed and altitude which were well outside of the performance envelope of existing aircraft. Nevertheless, the pilots could not establish visual contact and the investigation revealed that specific weather conditions may have caused electromagnetic interferences and false returns on the radar screens. The technical evidence was insufficient to conclude that abnormal air activities took place during that evening.

In short, the Belgian UFO wave was exceptional and the Air Force could not identify the nature, origin and intentions of the reported phenomena.

And here's a summarised report of the Belgian 1990 UFO flap, signed by Wilfried De Brouwer.

Summary of the official report by the Belgian Air Force

(Regarding the UFO events of March, 1990)

1. Starting early Dec 89 the BAF has been contacted on several occasions by eyewitnesses who observed strange phenomena in the Belgian airspace. On some occasions they described the phenomena as a triangle-shaped platform up to 200 feet wide with 3 downward beaming projectors, hovering at +- 100 m above the ground and making only a very light humming noise. Some witnesses saw the object departing at very high speed after a very fast acceleration. All observations were made in the evening or during the night.

2. The radar stations which had been alerted by eyewitnesses could not definitely determine a correlation between the visual observations and their detection on radar. On two occasions the BAF scrambled 2 F16 during the evening hours.

a. On the first occasion the F16 arrived +- 1 hour after the visual detection. Nothing was observed.

b. On the second occasion, pilots could identify a laser-beam projector on the ground. After investigation it appeared however that the description of the observations totally differed from previously described phenomena.

3. Consequently the Belgian Airforce, anxious to identify the origin of the phenomena, authorised F16 scrambles if following conditions were met:

a. Visual observations on the ground confirmed by the local police.

b. Detection on radar.

Events:

4. On 30 Mar 1990 at 23.00 Hr the Master Controller (MC) of the Air Defense radar station of Glons received a phone call from a person who declared to observe three independent blinking lights in the sky, changing colours, with a much higher intensity than the lights of the stars and forming a triangle. Meteo conditions were clear sky, no clouds, light wind and a minor temperature inversion at 3000 Ft.

5. The MC in turn notified the police of WAVRE which confirmed the sighting at +- 23 30 Hr. Meanwhile the MC had identified a radar contact at about 8 NM North of the ground observation. The contact moved slowely to the West at a speed of =- 25kts and an altitude of 10.000 Ft.

6. The ground observers reported 3 additional light spots which moved gradually, with irregular speeds, towards the first set of lights and forming a second triangle.

7. At 23.50 a second radar station, situated at +- 100 NM from the first, confirmed an identical contact at the same place of the radar contact of Glons.

8. At 00.05 2 F16 were scrambled from BEAUVECHAIN airbase and guided towards the radar contacts. A total of 9 interception attempts have been made. At 6 occasions the pilots could establish a lock-on with their air interception radar. Lock-on distances varied between 5 and 8 NM. On all occasions targets varied speed and altitude very quickly and break-locks occurred after 10 to 60 seconds. Speeds varied between 150 and 1010 kts. At 3 occasions both F16 registered simultaneous lock-ons with the same parameters. The 2 F16 were flying +- 2 NM apart. No visual contact could be established by either of the F16 pilots.

9. The F16 flew 3 times through the observation field of the ground observers. At the third passage the ground observers notified a change in the behavior of the light spots. The most luminous started to blink very intensively while the other disappeared. Consequently, the most luminous spot started to dim gradually.

10. Meanwhile the head of the police of WAVRE had alerted 4 other police stations in the area. All four, separated +- 10 NM from each other, confirmed the visual observations.

11. The aircraft landed at 01.10 Hrs. The last visual observation was recorded at +- 01.30 Hrs.

Conclusions:

12. The Belgian Air Force was unable to identify neither the nature nor the origin of the phenomena. However, it had sufficient elements to exclude following assumptions:

a. Balloons. Impossible due to the highly variable speeds (confirmed visually and by radar).

b. ULM . Same as for balloons.

c. RPV. Impossible due to the hovering characteristics.

d. Aircraft (including Stealth). Same as for RPV. No noise.

e. Laser projections or Mirages. Unlikely due to lack of projection surface (no clouds). Light spots have been observed from different locations. Light spots moved over distance of more than 15 NM. Form of inlighted part of spots has been observed with spectacles. Laser projections or mirages can not be detected by radar.

Triangle UFO filmed near Bakersfield, CA, (13th Nov 2007)

Trianglular UFO filmed near Bakersfield, CA on (13th Nov 2007)

"My girlfriend and I saw this UFO last night (11-13-07) while we were driving home from San Diego. We were driving up the 5 north. We saw it about 60 miles north of Bakersfield, CA and followed it for probably 30 miles. I shot about 3 or 4 minutes of pretty clear footage.

With our own eyes we could see the outline of the craft at times.

It had red lights most of the time, but sometimes they would all shut off. The second time that it flew directly at us and over us the lights turned to a white-light blue color. This is definitely not an airplane. It flew right over us twice, about 1,000 feet above our heads and made absolutely NO sound.

It just glided through the air. It shape-shifted and even expanded to the size of 4 football fields at one point. It flew side ways. At one point what looked like a comet flew out of it sideways. I didn't get that on video.

I've seen lots of shooting stars and they ALWAYS come from the sky. This one flew sideways slowly. Very strange. Pretty amazing. Near the end of the footage it looked like a triangle flying sideways. We are still in shock that we got to see this thing, watch it for so long, and get it on video! I think it is extraordinary."

Near the end of the footage it looked like a triangle flying sideways.

(Edit To Add) This video was originally a 3 minute YouTube clip, then the original (16 minutes) was made available by the person/s who filmed it. (© DianaBlackburn.com) Also the two people involved have been visiting the ATS Forums and have participated in quite a lengthy dialogue, here’s part of ATS member BLACKburn’s final post,

“Either you believe our alien friends/foes are visiting us earthlings to check out something. Or you believe the government has secrets. Or you believe we wasted our time making a crappy hoax video. It doesn’t matter to me what anyone else believes. Do you want to know what my belief is? I had suspicions before, but after what I saw that night I KNOW there is more out there in this wonderful and beautiful big Universe we are part of. I just can’t wait for the day that everything is clear before everyone’s eyes and there are no more questions…until then…be kind to yourselves and each other.”
